Happy 3rd Birthday Layna!

Amongst all of the wedding excitment..our little girl turned 3!! She now enjoys hearing the story of when she was born and as I tell it- I can hardly believe that it has been three years!

We have LOVED watching you grow and learn this past year. Seeing the world through your eyes has been pure joy. You have learned new phrases and words like 'Actually...' and 'Hang on just one minute..' You have fallen in love with every thing PRINCESS and most of all you have been a wonderful BIG SISTER to Claire-Z. We love you even more than the day we brought you home and cant wait to experience who you will become this next year. We love you!

Brad and Sarah got married this weekend...and it was WONDERFUL! Words can't describe how perfect everything was. We havent had this much fun as a whole family in a long time. I'll have more professional pictures to post later..but this gives you a snapshot. Congrats again to Brad and Sarah. We love you!

We had a great time celebrating Mothers Day as well as Karl's 29th birthday. Karl had hosted Brad's bachelor party the night before so needless to say- everyone was a bit tired. I'm the luckiest mom in the world- blessed with a wonderful husband and two beautiful girls!

Last Friday evening- my mom, Layna and I attended a 'Mothers Day Tea' with Grandma Fry out at Breeze Park. It was a great event although the entertainment for the evening was a comedian who did a program called 'Cooking with Marge'. She was dressed up, working the crowd and talking in a loud, raspy voice. Bottom Line- Layna was SCARED! Her and I had to 'run far far away from that scary lady' for most of the night. We wondered the facility until the very end of the program when 'Marge' was finished. They gave away flowers to the oldest and youngest mothers in attendance. I miss being the youngest mom by 1 year! BUMMER! Overall- we had a great time. I feel very blessed that my grandparents now live in St. Louis and are able to see my girls growing up!

Grandpa Z welcomed Claire as a Child of God by baptizing her this Sunday April 25th. We were blessed to have Brad and Sarah as her Godparents. We had a great weekend with tons of family in town. Grandpa and Grandma Nelson, Great Grandma Vandyk, Grandpa and Grandma Z, Great Grandpa and Grandma Fry, Aunt Jill, Aunt Laura, Aunt Sheila and kids, Aunt Sheri and kids, Uncle Ryan and 'Our Mary' all joined us for the baptism. It was a very special weekend and one we will remember for a long time!

As Im sitting here trying to type a blog entry..I am realizing that Im so tired- that what Im typing isnt making sense. The past 24 hrs have gone as follows: 11pm: Layna up out of bed, 2:30am: Claire up to eat, 5:00am: Claire up for good. The rest of the day looked something like this- dressing kids, feeding kids, taking pictures, eating, attending church, leaving church with screaming toddler, coming back into church, leaving church to feed screaming infant, taking more pictures, hugging lots of family, seeing lots of friends, playing outside, hunting for eggs, more pictures, a few tantrums, lots of candy, good times with family, a few more pictures, kids unpacked, kids in bed...WHEW....It was an AWESOME day...I'm BEAT....I LOVE MY LIFE...ENJOY THE PICS! :)
